Hi Frank,

Your whole diatribe about film photography was pointed out to me by my girlfriend. You apparently live behind the times. Digital beats 35 mm film seven ways to Sunday, and either you are a hack, or simply have not stayed up with technology, that you have not been able to keep up.

I cannot speak for Nikon, for many different technology issues, however, I can tell you first hand that shooting with ANYTHING in the Canon lineup, 20D or up, can beat 35 mm film hands-down!!

Legacy film photographers such as yourself are a dying breed. Just with a 20D, I can take high-quality 20" x 30" images that greatly surpass the quality of any 35 mm film shots in every way, and that is just a baseline model in Canon's lineup that is already discontinued! You probably need to be reminded that the production of film has subsideded with most manufacturers, such as Kodak, for example.

In case you haven't noticed, that while Nikon and Canon have increased their digital camera linup to over 20+ (each), they have also reduced their legacy film camera models to a small handful, but even more importantly, have stopped any new development initiatives for film cameras, because the two top players have admitted that the days of film are numbered.

You need to get over yourself, and get a grip on technology, and embrace reality. Otherwise, you are going to get steamrolled, and you will have a very limited future in photograpy!
